The Panther Ausf. G was the most widely produced version of the PzKpfw V Panther, replacing the earlier A variant in 1944. The G model featured a more cost-effective chassis and ongoing improvements during production. Notable upgrades included a modified engine deck and revised cylinder covers. Equipped with a powerful 7.5 cm KwK 42 L/70 cannon and projectile-deflecting armor, the Panther became a formidable adversary on the battlefield. Powered by the Maybach HL 230P30 V-12 petrol engine, producing 700 hp, the 44,800 kg Panther Ausf. G could reach a top speed of 55 km/h. The crew consisted of five men.
